Blisland Church

Blisland has stones said to be older than English history themselves, ranging from the Nine Trippet Stones and a set of seven stone crosses from the earliest days of Christianity.

The church is mainly 15th century with some 16th century work completed on the tower.

In this modern day it is almost difficult to imagine the scene of times before the Battle of Agincourt but here, on the chancel floor, is a brass portrait of John Balsam, seen in prayer, which has been there since those early days.
